![]() | Director (Operations) - Jeffrey Doyle Jeffrey represents the second generation of the Doyle Family involvement with Mendi Constructions; he has worked in the Construction Industry for more than 20 years and has been a company Director since 1994. Jeff has overseen and been an integral part of the growth of the Mendi business entities while maintaining close contact with the tendering and construction of all projects undertaken by Mendi. Having an eye for quality people and developing them is an attribute that Jeff has. Jeffrey is responsible for all construction operations. He has earned an enviable reputation for completing difficult and complex projects, while at the same time meeting and exceeding the expectations of clients and consultants. In Jeffreys many years of experience he has been faced with unique challenges such as weather, labour and material sourcing difficulties, restricted construction periods and tight environmental constraints. Jeff is the go to man for difficult projects and innovative ideas. As a Director of Mendi Constructions he contributes significantly in strategic planning as well as providing valuable technical and logistical support to the business. | Director (Administration) - Stephen Goicoechea Steve Goicoechea has been a company Director since 1994 and his family has been owner/managers since its inception in the 1950's so his experience within the Civil Construction Industry is extensive. Steve is committed to ensuring the company delivers projects on time and within budget to the clients Quality, Safety and Environmental specification requirements. As a shareholder Steve is involved in the day-to-day management of the company and has the ability to manage and prove local resources through extensive local knowledge and professional relationships. Steve is a hands-on Principal in daily contact with staff on the job. He is responsible for liaising with authorities, clients and consultants. | General Manager - Simon Ormes Simon is a Townsville local with over 20 years experience in the civil construction industry in roles ranging from design through to project management, business development for one of Australia’s largest contractors and regional management of a leading mid tier contractor. Most recently, Simon was responsible for the management of a $120m+ program of work restoring community assets as a result of the recent natural disasters in the Townsville region. Simon possesses significant experience in, and is heavily focussed on, customer relations and collaborative contracts such as Alliances, ECI's and Managing Contractor. Simon has recently been identified in a select group of emerging community leaders who will drive progress within the region and is participating in Townsville Enterprise’s inaugural North Queensland Emerging Leaders Program. His broad experience in all aspects of construction from front end project identification through to estimating, delivery, commercial and risk management places him in the ideal position to promote and support Mendi’s position as one of North Queensland’s leading civil engineering providers. His experience in the stringent health and safety procedures required in mining is a huge advantage for Mendi's own operating procedures. In the construction industry, training and compliance requirements are constantly changing, and Michael ensures that all employees are up to date with their necessary qualifications.
