Ingham Road is a sub-arterial road that services the Bohle Industrial area. Approximately 13,000 vehicles use this road each day, of which approximately 25% are commercial vehicles.

The Ingham Road Intersections Upgrade Project will cater for the increased traffic numbers, resolve traffic capacity issues and address key safety concerns throughout the industrial estates.

The intersection upgrade includes the widening of the intersection with the installation of a dual lane roundabout to improve traffic flow and driver safety in the Bohle Industrial Area. The Project included the supply and installation of a new water main surrounding the roundabout and the extension of the existing telecommunication and electrical infrastructure.


  • Excavation up to 1mtr deep of existing pavement
  • Reinstatement of commercial property accesses


  • Upgrade of new DN300 watermain
  • Construction of a double lane roundabout with associated concrete median island, street lighting, drainage and communications
  • Heavy duty cement treated pavement and deep lift asphalt
  • Ergon HV modification and new road lighting installation
  • Over 9788 tonne of asphalt supplied and laid
