In meeting the commitment of this Policy the Company will:-
Demonstrate commitment and leadership through all its managers.
Clearly define health and safety responsibilities for managers, front line manager, employees and contractors. Implementing and maintaining a Health and Safety Management System modelled on AS4801:2001.
Strive to eliminate hazards and practices that could cause incidents, injuries and illnesses through training and consultation to attain injury free project sites.
Utilise the framework of the Mendi’s Health and Safety Management System and HSE Best Practice Elements as outlined in the Mendi Constructions Health and Safety Manual, to integrate health and safety into business management systems and to achieve the highest standards of health and safety.
Comply with applicable health and safety acts and regulations and codes of practice.
Incorporate health and safety into the business planning cycle so that objectives can be set, plans formulated and performance measures determined for the purpose of continually improving our management systems.
Seek to involve and inform people who work for the company in identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards and health and safety performance.
Following workplace illness or injury, undertake to help our people to achieve full recovery through prompt treatment and active rehabilitation programs.
